Santiago Mesa is a documentary photographer born in Medellín, Colombia, interested in social problems, inequality, violence, among others. He studied journalism at the University of Eafit, in Medellín. He has worked for various media, also participated in the New York 2019 portfolio review and Eddie Adams Workshop XXXII and participated in the Risc training in Sao Paulo, Brazil, 2018.
Santiago recently launched a crowdfunding campaign to print his first photobook called "No pase". This book is the result of his first years working as a photographer on the streets of Medellín, Colombia. It has been an extensive journey in which Santiago Mesa has been able to travel, learn, and experience one of the most real facets of this city.
